Pitching in for Clean Up Australia Day

Earlier in the month, we were proud to see our Ballarat clients and support team join up to participate in a Clean Up Australia Day event.

The event offered everyone a chance to get together and pitch in for the local environment; it also provided clients with the opportunity to practice their daily living skills within a community setting.

eQuality Support Regional Manager Tayla Edwards was thrilled to see the group working together as a team and that they were able to make a difference to their local Ballarat area.

“It is great to see both our clients and staff putting their hands up to help out and participate in the Clean Up event,” Tayla said.

“We were able to tidy up some areas around the local neighbourhood, and it gave everyone great satisfaction to know they were helping to make a difference.”

By participating in events such as Clean Up Australia Day, clients can practice social interaction skills and being independent in everyday activities. These daily living skills help to improve their ongoing confidence and assist with achieving their personal goals.
