From Construction to Care: Aaron’s Student Placement Journey at eQuality Support – eQuality Support

October 13, 2025
At eQuality Support, we’re passionate about supporting the next generation of disability support professionals through meaningful student placements. Recently, we welcomed Aaron, a Certificate III Individual Support student from The Gordon, who joined us for his final 40 hours of placement.
Aaron came to the sector after years in hands-on roles like concreting and accessory fitting at Toyota. Looking for a career change, he wanted a role where he could make a real difference.

“The one thing I enjoyed the most about my time at eQuality was the time I got to spend with clients. Supporting them with tasks and seeing how much it meant to them is something I’ll never forget. That rewarding feeling is truly special.”

Aaron says the biggest surprise was how small acts of support can have a huge impact:
“Giving one of my clients a little back rub might not mean much to most people, but to this client it meant the world. That moment stuck with me and reminded me why I want to be part of this industry.”

During his time with us, Aaron experienced the positive culture that defines eQuality Support:
“Everyone is so passionate, positive and truly happy to do what they do. I can’t wait to be part of a team like this.”

Aaron’s placement has inspired him to continue his studies in healthcare, chasing that rewarding feeling of helping others.

We’re proud to support student placements like Aaron’s, which provide valuable real-world experience and help build the future workforce in disability support. These opportunities bring fresh perspectives to our team and contribute to a stronger, more inclusive sector.
