For Glenn, Thursdays mean one thing: bowling with his mate Barry. It’s a simple ritual, but one that brings fun, connection and a real sense of belonging.
Barry and Glenn meet at the lanes each week, supported by their Disability Support Workers. What started as just an activity has become a regular highlight, a chance to laugh, share time together and build confidence.
“Bowling is our thing,” says Shayne, one of Glenn’s Disability Support Workers. “He associates activities with people, and for Glenn, Thursdays are all about that connection.”
Donna, another member of Glenn’s support team, agrees that it’s the relationships that make the difference. “With Glenn, it’s about showing up and making him feel safe. That smile you see in the photos, that’s when you know the connection is real.”
It’s not only about strikes and spares. For Glenn, this weekly ritual is about knowing he’s supported, valued and part of his community.
At eQuality Support, we believe in the power of these everyday moments, the ones that build trust, connection and joy.
