As the Disability Access and Inclusion Partner for the Ballarat Marathon 2026, eQuality Support is proud to invite local organisations to be part of something truly meaningful.
Inclusion Teams are about more than just showing up on race day; they’re about celebrating people, community and the belief that sport belongs to everyone. Whether you’re a disability provider, school, allied health practice or community organisation, forming an Inclusion Team is a powerful way to demonstrate inclusion in action.
What is an Inclusion Team?
An Inclusion Team is a group of staff, clients, students or community members who walk, jog or run together in the Ballarat Marathon 5km event, taking part in a welcoming, supportive environment designed for all abilities and experience levels.
At its heart, the Inclusion Team concept is about:
• Creating safe, inclusive spaces for people of all abilities to participate
• Encouraging community connection and belonging
• Showing that movement, health and wellbeing should be accessible to everyone
Whether your team strolls the 5km or takes it at a faster pace, the focus is on participation, pride and shared experience.
Who can participate?
Inclusion Teams are open to a wide range of organisations and groups, including:
• Specialist Disability Accommodation (SDA) providers
• Support coordinators
• Allied health providers
• Schools and education providers
• Community and sporting groups
• Local businesses and workplaces
Teams can be made up of staff only, clients only, or a mix of both – along with family members, students or supporters who want to get involved.
Why it matters
Forming an Inclusion Team delivers real value for your organisation and your people.
