What is Supported Independent Living (SIL)?

Supported Independent Living (SIL) is an NDIS – Funded disability support service that involves 24/7 in home support for daily tasks, empowering NDIS participants to achieve maximum independence.

What’s the difference between SDA and SIL?

Specialist Disability Accommodation (SDA) refers to housing specifically designed for participants with higher support  needs, whereas Supported Independent Living (SIL) includes on site support for daily tasks and fosters the development of independent living skills.
Some participants may qualify for funding for both SDA and SIL, which will be allocated separately in your NDIS plan to offer greater flexibility.
