Disability Support Worker roles

We’re looking for passionate Disability Support Workers to support people to live independently at home, or within Specialist Disability Accommodation (SDA).  

The purpose of your role is to support clients to achieve their goals, enjoy life, and engage in community and social activities!  

You will support clients with their daily routines including personal care, assisting with medication, cleaning and mealtime management.

Work and hours

This is a casual position and can be based in either Geelong.

  • Most shifts are 8 hours long and you’re matched to work with a client 
  • Shifts are assigned to you on a fortnightly roster. You can block out when you can’t work, plus we get to know your preferences 
  • A commitment of 25+ hours per week is needed, including evenings, weekends, and some sleepovers.

Experience and qualifications

  • You’ll ideally have 1-2 years’ experience supporting the well-being and inclusion of people with disability 
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills, particularly active listening. 
  • A minimum certificate III, diploma or qualification in disability or relevant area such as aged care, community services, or health.
